Omegle1v1 is a one-on-one video chat platform. Two people, live video, and a Next button. That is the entire product, and keeping it that small is a decision rather than a stage we are passing through.
We are not Omegle
Omegle1v1 is an independent video chat platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Omegle or its former operators. The original Omegle service closed in 2023 and we had nothing to do with it, before or since.
We use the word in our name and on our pages because it is what the format is called and how people search for it — not as a claim to be that service, its official replacement, or its continuation. If you are looking for the original site, it is gone, and nothing here will bring it back.
Why this site exists
When Omegle shut down, a lot of products moved in to replace it, and most of them replaced it with something broader — profile grids, follower counts, feeds, rooms. Understandable, because those things are easier to grow. But the thing people actually described missing was narrower than any of that: being put in front of one stranger, with nothing else going on.
So this site is deliberately the narrow version. It does one thing, and the measure of whether it is working is whether that one thing still feels immediate.
What we hold to
Leaving stays free
Next has to remain a single action with no friction attached to it. The moment leaving gets expensive, people stop being open in the first minute, and the format stops working.
We do not oversell
No invented user counts, no "100% safe", no guarantees about who is online. We would rather say a smaller true thing than a larger one we cannot stand behind.
Adults, by design
This is a service for adults. That is stated in the terms, enforced through reporting, and not something we treat as a formality.
How the service is paid for
Creating an account is free and your first matches are included. After that, some features use credits, and the cost is shown on screen before you use them. There is no subscription you have to take in order to try it, and we do not sell your data — the credits are the business model, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.
Who is on the other side
Real people, in a live session. This is not a symmetric roulette where anyone on the internet might appear — you are matched with people who are available on the platform. We mention it here because the difference matters and glossing over it would be the kind of small dishonesty that makes everything else on a site harder to believe.
