Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

By creating an account or using Omegle1v1, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

2. Who we are

Omegle1v1 is an independent one-on-one video chat platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Omegle or its former operators, and we are not a continuation of that service. See the about page for more.

3. You must be 18 or older

This service is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or take part in a session. You must not let anyone under 18 use your account. Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed, and we report material involving minors to the appropriate authorities.

4. Your account

You need an account to enter a session, and you are responsible for what happens under it — including keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Reporting and blocking only work because there is an account behind each side of a conversation, which is why anonymous entry is not offered.

You may close your account at any time. Closing it does not automatically erase records we are required to keep; the privacy policy explains which ones.

5. What the service is

The service matches you with one other participant for a live one-on-one video session, and lets you end that session and start another. We do not guarantee that a match will be available at any given moment, who you will be matched with, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

6. Rules for sessions

The following are not allowed, and breaking any of them can cost you your account without notice:

1. Being under 18, or letting anyone under 18 use your account.
2. Any sexual content involving a minor, or content that sexualises someone who appears to be a minor.
3. Nudity or sexual acts on camera.
4. Harassment, threats, hate speech, or targeting someone for who they are.
5. Recording, screenshotting or republishing another participant without their agreement.
6. Impersonating another person, or misrepresenting your age.
7. Advertising, soliciting, or pushing people to another platform — particularly for payment.
8. Violent, self-harm or shock content.
9. Automating, scraping, or interfering with how the service works.
10. Using the service where doing so would break the law where you are.

7. Content you transmit

You are responsible for what you show and say in a session, and you confirm you have the right to transmit it. Your live streams are sent to the person you are matched with for the duration of the session and are not retained by us as a recording afterwards.

8. Credits and paid features

Creating an account is free and your first matches are included. Some features use credits. Where something costs credits, the cost is shown before you use it — you are never charged for something you were not shown the price of.

Credits are for use within the service. They are not a stored-value instrument, they have no cash value, they cannot be transferred to another account, and they cannot be exchanged for money. Credits already spent are not refundable. Where a purchase fails or is charged in error, contact us and we will look at it.

If your account is terminated because you broke these terms, unused credits are forfeited.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, that is being used to harm other participants, or where we are legally required to. Serious breaches — anything in section 6 involving minors in particular — result in immediate permanent removal.

We may also stop offering the service, or parts of it, at any time.

10. What we do not promise

The service is provided as it is. We do not promise that other participants are who they say they are, that they will behave, that moderation will catch every breach as it happens, or that the service will be available without interruption. Talking to people you have not met carries risk that no platform can remove — the safety page is honest about what we can and cannot do about that.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the updated date at the top of the page changes and material changes are made visible in the service. Continuing to use the service after a change means the updated terms apply to you.

12. Governing law and disputes

The governing law and the venue for any dispute are those of the place where the operator of this service is established, and are stated on request. Nothing in these terms removes any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
